Verifiable planetary data for trading bots and AI agents (x402, MCP)
Planet positions, an eclipse / Mercury-retrograde / ingress calendar to the minute, Gann planetary lines and sky analogues from NASA/JPL DE440, for bots that pay per call. Every result is SHA-256 hashed and replayable.
Pay per call with x402
Unpaid POST → 402 with USDC offers on Solana and Base
(no SOL or ETH needed) and an MPP challenge. Sign, retry, done. From $0.01 per call.
Discover through MCP
Streamable HTTP at https://astro-agent.dev/mcp, no auth: 22 tools,
astro_catalog free. Paid tools answer with the REST call to make.
Prepaid credits
Pay once, then send X-Credits-Token on any paid route: no
signature per call, ideal for n8n, cron jobs and backtests.
Replayable
meta.result_sha256 on every result; the same request returns the same
bytes. Store the hashes with the backtest.
1. Call it from any bot (x402)
curl -X POST https://astro-agent.dev/v1/finance/events -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
-d '{"start":"2026-11-01","end":"2026-12-31","include":["eclipse","station"]}'
# → 402 + PAYMENT-REQUIRED (Solana + Base USDC) + WWW-Authenticate: Payment (MPP)
Any x402 client pays and retries. Python, with USDC on Base: pip install "x402[evm,requests]", then
x402_requests(client).post(url, json=body).
2. Give it to an AI agent (MCP)
{
"mcpServers": {
"astro-agents": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://astro-agent.dev/mcp"
}
}
}
Works with Claude, Cursor, Hermes, LangChain (langchain-mcp-adapters, transport
streamable_http) and n8n's MCP Client Tool. Ready-made: the
LangChain agent recipe.
3. Schedule it (n8n, cron, Freqtrade)
- n8n: import the Astro Agents workflow (daily event calendar over HTTP with a credits token, plus a chat agent on the MCP endpoint).
- Freqtrade / OctoBot / Jesse: merge events or planetary lines on the candle open time (
timestamp, unix seconds): Freqtrade strategy example. - pandas:
pip install "astro-agents @ git+https://github.com/aidatatools-dev/astro-agents-clients#subdirectory=python"→client.events(),client.planetary_lines(),client.analogues()return DataFrames.

| Route | What | Price | Summary |
|---|---|---|---|

POST /v1/finance/events | Astro event calendar | $0.25 | Eclipse and Mercury retrograde calendar: every solar and lunar eclipse, station (retrograde/direct), ingress, new and full moon, aspect, parallel and out-of-bounds between two dates (1800-2200), to the minute. |
POST /v1/finance/analogues | Sky analogues (matching skies) | $0.25 | Find the past or future dates whose planetary positions best match a reference sky, ranked by a stated angular distance. |

FAQ
How does a trading bot or an AI agent find and pay for planetary data?
Agents discover Astro Agents through MCP (https://astro-agent.dev/mcp, 22 tools) and x402 directories (Coinbase Bazaar, x402scan, 402index, MPPScan). Every paid REST route answers an unpaid request with HTTP 402 and two x402 offers, USDC on Solana and on Base, plus an MPP (Tempo) challenge. The client signs one, retries, and gets the data: no account, no API key.
Can I prove which numbers my backtest used?
Yes. Every response carries meta.input_sha256 and meta.result_sha256; the same request returns the same bytes, and POST /v1/verify (free) recomputes the hash.
Is this a trading signal?
No. It is ephemeris data (positions, event times, matching skies by a stated angular distance). Data for your own analysis — never a signal or forecast.
